WhatsApp Reminders for Appointments, Renewals & Due Dates

"Your appointment is tomorrow." "Your plan renews in 7 days." These reminders cut no-shows and late payments — and you can run them automatically with one daily send.

How it works

You store the relevant date for each contact — appointment, renewal, or due date — in a date field. Then a daily recurring broadcast filters that field to "is in exactly N days". Each morning it reaches everyone who is exactly N days away, and nobody else.

Step 1 — Create a date field

In Settings → Contact Attributes, add a Date field for the thing you're reminding about — e.g. "Appointment date" (appointment_date), "Renewal date" (renewal_date), or "Due date" (due_date).

Step 2 — Fill the date

These dates usually live in your booking system, billing tool or CRM, so the reliable way to keep the field current is to push it in via your account's API whenever a booking or subscription is created or changed — a one-time setup for whoever handles your integrations. For small volumes you can also set the date by hand on the contact. Contacts without a date are simply skipped.

Step 3 — Build the daily reminder

1. Create a broadcast with a clear reminder template (include the key detail — time, amount, or location).
2. Set the schedule to Repeat → Daily at a sensible hour.
3. Under Audience → By segment, add appointment_date · is in exactly … days · 1 for a day-before reminder (use 7 for a week-before renewal notice).
4. Test-send, then activate.

Want two nudges — say 7 days and 1 day before? Just create a second daily broadcast with the same field set to is in exactly 7 days.

Good to know

• Reminders are business-initiated messages, so they use an approved template and count toward your daily limit.
• The filter counts whole days in your timezone — "in exactly 1 day" means tomorrow's date, not "24 hours from now".
